Julie V.

Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the challenges faced by seniors in long-term care, inspiring me to become a PSW. I approach caregiving with the dedication I’d give my own family, treating every senior with dignity and respect. To me, caregiving is a partnership, focused on creating a positive environment while supporting independence and daily needs as a team.

Personal Bio:

I’m Julie Vitias, a PSW and nursing student at Conestoga College. My caregiving journey began during COVID-19, inspiring me to earn my PSW certification and gain experience in hospitals, long-term care, and as a Director of Care. Outside of work, I enjoy sports like college football and baseball, and my husband and I are active in our local baseball community, with him as president and me on the board. Teamwork is central to both my caregiving and personal life, as I strive to ensure clients feel valued and supported.
