Our Story
Quilt was founded by Blake Cheeseman and Peter Kotzeff to improve the in-home care experience for seniors.
During covid Peters's grandmother moved out of the home she loved and into a retirement home because we couldn't find a suitable caregiver for her. The existing in-home care providers weren't able to meet our needs, and aren't meeting the needs of other Canadian families like ours.
We have also learnt that existing agencies aren't meeting the needs of caregivers. They are often paid a small portion of the fee charged to families and have little control over their work.
We are on a mission to improve the in-home care experience for everyone involved. Quilt makes it easy for families to find the right caregiver for their loved ones, and our intuitive tools make it easy to coordinate care. We also pay caregivers above average wages, make sure they're well supported and give them flexibility to choose their shifts.
