Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions families actually ask.
If your question isn't here, ask us on the intake call. We'd rather answer it honestly than leave you guessing.
Pricing & commitment
How much does CareQuilt cost?
Rates start at $35/hour. Your exact rate depends on your loved one's care needs — we walk you through the options on the first call. No subscriptions, no admin fees, no hidden charges. Three-hour minimum visit so caregivers have enough time to do meaningful work.

Caregivers & matching
Will my parent have the same caregiver every visit?
Yes — that's the whole point. One caregiver matched to your family, every visit, building familiarity over time. If they're ever sick or unavailable, we let you know in advance and send a backup. Continuity isn't a bonus. It's the foundation.

Getting started
What happens after I submit my request?
Same day, someone from our care team calls to set up a free 20-minute conversation. On that call, we listen to what's going on, ask questions, and walk you through what care could look like. If it's a fit, we draft a care plan within 48 hours and match a caregiver. You meet them before care starts. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you — and point you to someone who is.

What we do and don't offer
What is the difference between hourly, overnight, and 24-hour care?
Hourly care is scheduled visits — typically 3 to 6 hours — during the day or evening. Overnight care is a caregiver in the home from evening to morning, usually 8 to 10 hours. 24-hour care is multiple caregivers rotating across a full day, typically for post-hospital recovery or more complex needs. We don't offer live-in care, but we can support around-the-clock coverage through scheduled shifts.

Dementia & specialty care
Do you specialize in dementia care?
It's our strongest area. Our caregivers and care managers receive additional memory-care training, and our clinical team tracks the patterns — sundowning, agitation, sleep changes, confusion spikes — that signal when something needs attention. Continuity matters most in dementia care, and continuity is what we're built around.
