About CareQuilt
Built after the system failed our family.
Our co-founder Blake worked as a palliative caregiver during COVID. He saw, up close, what happens when home care is built around filling shifts instead of actually helping people. The rest of us were living it from the family side. CareQuilt is the version of home care we wished existed for our own families.

Why we exist
The current home care model is failing Canadian families.
Home care in Canada is built around scheduling bodies into homes. A family calls an agency, an agency sends a caregiver, the caregiver rotates, and the family stays in the manager seat forever. Nobody's watching for patterns. Small signals get lost. Care is reactive, not proactive. And the family notices decline before the care team does.
The industry treats caregivers as a commodity, not an asset. And while every other part of healthcare has moved forward, most home care agencies still operate the way they did twenty years ago.
CareQuilt was built around the oversight. A care manager as the backbone, not an afterthought. Clinical review on every plan. The same caregiver every visit so familiarity compounds. And a feedback loop that keeps families informed before something small becomes a crisis.

Your care manager knows your family — your parent's routine, your concerns, what's changed since last week. When you call, you're talking to someone with context, not someone reading a file for the first time.
Every care plan gets reviewed at an RPN level. Concerns get flagged, patterns between visits get tracked, and when something needs attention, we let you know — and help coordinate with your family doctor. It's a layer of oversight most agencies don't offer.
Background-checked, trained, and paid well above industry standard — because that's how you keep good people. Matched to your parent so they become part of the routine, not a different face every week.
